Have you ever came across the same lesson in more than one book?
The more books I read the more I start to realize the underlying ways of doing things right are highly similar in nature!
I like to think of books like fruits, they are experiences to be savored, each on its own. We not only read to learn, but also to enjoy.
The more commonalities I find between different themes in different books, the more I start to appreciate what it means to "get educated".
Looking closely, whether it's a lesson learned, a principle to live by, an eye-opening insight, it always happens that more than one book could discuss the same concept at some point, even when their main topics are radically different!
As so often happens that those very same lessons are embedded within many places: different books, different religions, different languages, and different creative human endeavors (movies, art, music, podcasts, and much much more!)
Draws the attention that: "Every lesson must have already been learned" by somebody at some point! If there exists an experience that we *can* think of, then there sure is someone who tried it & learned from it.
Which subsequently puts clear emphasis on the importance of Reading & Writing.
Reading books is our way of encapsulating someone else's knowledge & lessons learned. Writing notes is our way of letting ideas that are deep in our heads come to surface.
Reading & writing together are our ways of transcending time & space and connecting pieces of thought next to each other!
There's just no other way we're able to communicate back & forth with those who learned from their experiences ages ago if it weren't for their written form.
Which makes me appreciate it all the more.
